Is this just like a spinning class?

This is not a spinning class. First of all you bring your own bike or rent one from us. Your turbo trainer is connected to the computer, so if you are riding a route or doing a power training class, the resistance will match the gradient of the hill or the necessary FTP output you need to be doing. 

Is this Just for Racers?

The best part about our software is that once you have done your FTP test, we can update your file so that whenever you ride, the system understands your level of fitness. We can have complete beginners riding with Olympic Athletes and the software will make you work at your own level, no one elses. This allows you to gradually increase your fitness without injuring yourself. We can have all genders and all abilities riding at the same time and you will NEVER be left behind. 

How do I know if I have improved?

Our biggest reading of improvement is if you do a Functional Threshold Power Test. This test gives us an understanding of how much work you can do in about an hour. It is your base level of fitness and helps our software do many of it’s calculations. The test lasts about 45 minutes with a 20 minute warm up and a 20 minute test. 

What does it mean that I can ride any gps route?

A gps route is a route that you can create on gps software such as memory map, or to take a few examples. We can take this file and input it into our software so that you can ride the exact route, with the exact gradients and the turbo trainer will give you the exact resistance needed. This is great for reconnaissance for an event or challenge that you might be doing. 

How does Power Training Work?

Power training is more about improving your cycling fitness. We have specific sessions that focus on three elements:

  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Speed

We break each of these elements into six week blocks and make sure that you are improving with an FTP test. 

What if I don’t improve?

This isn’t the be all and end all as there are many factors that go into somebody’s performance e.g nutrition, stress, workload, which could impact an outcome. However we can always analyse these elements and incorporate them into your results. We will make sure though that you are always improving and that negative results won’t happen. 

What should I bring?
