It’s official, BrightsidePT’s new training studio is open. Though we have been seeing our clients there throughout February, we had the official opening party last week on 24th February. It was great to see so many of our clients turn up for the evening and also to see so many new faces. It was also good to see a bit of competitive spirit as a couple of guests challenged each other at chin ups and rowing times.
Everyone loved the organic, gluten-free buffet courtesy of our expert nutritionist, Fiona Lennon, and there were plenty of people enjoying a free hand massage from our sports massage therapist, Laura Smith. The gym was officially opened by Shireen Jordan of Wave 105s breakfast show, who has been a client with Brightside since last August. And she did do a great job of cutting open a red ribbon with the world’s smallest nail scissors! It must be down to those muscles she’s built up.
It was also our new trainer Alex Yates’ birthday that day so the evening gave us a good opportunity to celebrate this with a delicious organic birthday cake. Alex comes to BrightsidePT from a background of county tennis and snowboarding. He has helped many people get in great shape, from international dancers to those who just want to improve their fitness.
For anyone who missed the event, Brightside’s new gym has state of the art fitness equipment and private personal training available for anyone who’s looking to get fitter and stronger. We also have two experienced sports massage therapists, an expert nutritionist and a retul bike fitter, Garth Kruger, who is available for those looking to get more efficiency out of their cycling. Photo’s of the studio are soon to follow, so watch this space!
